I am originally from Nova Scotia, and graduated with my DVM from the Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) in 2012. I then began further clinical training at the Ontario Veterinary College, where I completed a Small Animal Rotating Internship (2013), a Small Animal Surgery Internship (2014) and a Small Animal Surgery Residency with concurrent Doctor of Veterinary Science degree (2018). I became a Diplomat of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons – Small Animal in 2019.
I am a board certified small animal surgeon offering advanced surgical procedures to our clients in the AVC-VTH. My professional interests lie mainly in surgical oncology and minimally invasive soft tissue surgery. My current research focuses include advances in clinical teaching for surgery residents and surgical site infections.
While surgery is my career passion, I equally enjoy my free time living on PEI where I can spend summers at the beach, paddle-boarding, reading and golfing with my husband!
