Dr. Giulianna Obeid

Dr. Giulianna Obeid is a Brazilian veterinarian who earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Brasília, Brazil in 2018. From early in her career, she has been dedicated exclusively to Zoological, Exotic, and Wildlife (ZEW) medicine, pursuing advanced training through clinical practice and academic development.
Following graduation, Dr. Obeid completed a specialty postgraduate program in Zoological and Exotic Medicine and Surgery at Qualittas Institute in Brazil. She then returned to the University of Brasília to complete the Multiprofessional Health Medicine Residency Program, specializing in Zoological, Exotic Companion, and Wildlife Medicine and Surgery. During this time, she gained extensive experience through work in public institutions, private practice, and volunteer fieldwork, including response efforts during natural disasters.
Dr. Obeid later moved to Canada to further her training, completing a specialty internship in Zoological, Exotic, and Wildlife medicine at the Atlantic Veterinary College. She also completed a Master of Science degree focused on the epidemiology of toxins in raptors in Prince Edward Island. Later 2025, Dr. Obeid joined the Community Practice team at AVC as Clinical Veterinary Practitioner, where she continues to pursue her passion for providing high-quality, collaborative care to exotic and small animal species.
Outside of her professional work, Dr. Obeid shares her life with a loving husband and two cats (Pateta, a PEI potato and Coto, a Brazilian soul) that she adores. She enjoys spending time outdoors. Especially hiking, going to the beach, exploring the city, and has a strong appreciation for good food. She values work-life balance, regular exercise, and healthy diet, believing that a healthy body supports a strong mind.
