Support the AVC Veterinary Teaching Hospital

Your generosity helps us to improve the health and welfare of animals and humans through education, discovery, professional practice, and dedicated service.

There are a range of funds available so you can direct your donation to the area you would like to support.

Pegasus Helping Hands (Good Samaritan Fund)

When pets have a medical emergency, but funds are low, we understand the difficult decisions that pet owners face. Through the generosity of the Pegasus Family Foundation, AVC graduates, and other donors, this fund assists pet owners with documented limited incomes for surgical or medical care of their cat or dog.  Your generosity supports making this care available.

Teaching Hospital Equipment Fund – Small Animal

Our Small Animal primary care and specialty teams aim to provide the best possible care for your pets.  To do this, we need to keep investing in new equipment and technology.  Your support in this area helps provide our clinicians and technicians in the small animal hospital with state of the art equipment for diagnostic procedures, patient monitoring and treatments.

Teaching Hospital Equipment Fund – Equine

As the only specialty referral equine centre in Atlantic Canada, we are dedicated to providing the highest standard of excellence in equine veterinary care.  Our specialty services include Surgery, Medicine, and Theriogenology, in addition to our Ambulatory Equine Service.

Your donation could support the evolving equipment needs for these services as they continue to provide excellent care to our equine patients.

Teaching Hospital Equipment Fund – Farm Animal

Keeping food and farm animals healthy protects the livelihood of family farmers in Atlantic Canada and the safety and security of our food.

Our Farm Services team and our Large Animal Hospital team are dedicated to optimizing the health of cattle, horses, small ruminants, and other livestock.

Your donation could support equipment needs for this important work, such as ultrasound machines.

Thank you for your support!
