Providing an outstandinglevel of health care forour animal patients.

Dr. Cole Ferreira

I earned my Bachelor of Science from Florida State University and went on to complete my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, along with a Certificate in Aquatic Animal Medicine, at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine. My clinical experience spans a diverse range of settings focused on exotic animal medicine, including zoos, aquariums, wildlife rehabilitation centers, and exotic companion animal settings.

I am currently serving as a specialty intern with the Zoo, Exotic, and Wildlife Service, where I contribute to the medical care and specialized treatment of a wide variety of exotic species. This role allows me to further develop advanced clinical skills while working alongside a team of experts dedicated to the health and welfare of non-traditional animals. My professional interests include zoological and aquatic animal medicine, as well as large animal medicine.

In July 2025, I relocated to Prince Edward Island with my cat, Elizabeth. During my free time, I have enjoyed exploring the many outdoor activities and natural beauty that PEI has to offer.
